Obidient Movement Mobilizer Chris Nwaokobia Jr. Backs PDP Candidate for Edo Governorship

Professor Chris Mustapha Nwaokobia Jr., a prominent member and mobilizer of the Obidient Movement, has officially thrown his weight behind Dr. Asue Ighodalo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, for the upcoming September governorship election in Edo State.

In a statement posted on his official X account, @NwaokobiaJnr, Nwaokobia Jr. outlined the reasons behind his endorsement of Dr. Ighodalo, emphasizing his competence, capacity, character, justice, equity, and fairness, which he believes transcend partisan lines.

Nwaokobia Jr. stated that after careful consideration of the leading contenders, including Barr. Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party and Senator Monday Okpebholo of the APC, he found Dr. Ighodalo to be the most deserving candidate for the position.

Highlighting Dr. Ighodalo’s impeccable character and integrity, Nwaokobia Jr. drew attention to his impressive track record, including his role on the board of the Christopher Kolade Foundation, urging readers to explore the remarkable character, vision, pedigree, and accomplishments of Christopher Kolade to understand the weight of his endorsement.

Furthermore, Nwaokobia Jr. stressed that Dr. Ighodalo’s candidacy represents the call for equity, inclusiveness, fairness, and justice in Edo State’s politics, as he hails from the Edo Central Senatorial Zone. He emphasized that his choice extends beyond partisan considerations.

The mobilizer emphasized that his endorsement of Dr. Ighodalo aligns with the philosophy and values of the Obidient Movement, which transcend partisanship and uphold patriotism and statesmanship as defining standards.

Nwaokobia Jr. argued that compared to other candidates, “Asue Ighodalo is PROFOUNDLY more Competent, Capable, Credible, and Proven in Private and Public Life,” making him the ideal choice for the governorship position in Edo State.
