Seyi Oyetunbi reported:

A number of 600 Students across Osun State benefitted from Dr. Bayonle Ademola free JAMB form project.

The students, who were selected from the 30 Local Governments in the state, enjoyed free JAMB UTME 2021 forms to foster education in the state and help poor parents in enabling their children attain education beyond ‘O’ Level.

His decision to help some of the youths secure a place in the future was inspired by the increasing rate of out-of-school children in Nigeria.

The six hundred (600) beneficiaries were selected and screened afterward from all Local Government in the state, on the basis of academic performance.

When asked the idea about his philanthropy act, Dr Bayonle said:

“At a time like this in the annals of our Nation, nearly everyone understands that the country is not positioned to give basic amenities to her citizens. Nigerians are left at the mercy of self-help to improve upon their living conditions.”

An illustrious son of Gbongan, Osun State, Dr. Bayonle Ademola is determined to rescue the dire situation and bridge the gap; not just alleviate poverty, but to make sure youths who are leaders of today are involved in the restoration and development of Nigeria. He is concerned about the living condition of over 89 million Nigerians living in abject poverty as reported by the United Nations. His convictions anchored on the need of seeing people happy; a shared happiness is true happiness.

Evidently, It is easier and cheaper to do nothing. Dr. Ademola has taken a bold step in setting up a foundation, one that seeks to bring the youths of Osun, his state of origin together for a sound leadership training, community service and charge the youth with the responsibility of identifying and solving community based problems.

In his words, he noted that “the common theme of DAB is to highlight the inherent energetic design of youth, the innate potential to innovate and improve their societies. With the accolades given to Nigerians in diaspora, he has commonly described the spate of youth in Nigeria as “a good seed on a bad soil”. He emphasizes the importance of positively engaging youths, highlighting misnormals, and underscores the need to look beyond the distractions caused by unemployment and poverty. He has maintained that in these rapidly changing times, youths are better positioned to understand and drive solutions. DAB wants to build the youth and by extension the communities.”

In the last few months, Dr. Bayonle Ademola Foundation popularly known as “DAB” has organised multiple engaging summits for the youth of Osun, provided support and innovative means for market women to aid businesses, Health outreach programs, procured about 600 JAMB forms for indigent student across the state, etc. Building up leadership is critical to creating a community of people with diverse ideas. DAB Foundation now has over ninety (90) team heads across the thirty (30) Local Government Areas in Osun State, and thousands of Ambassadors across all parts of the state.

DAB understands that culture is an identity. As a son of the soil, Dr. Bayonle came down to his hometown, Gbongan to celebrate with the Royal Father, HRM Oba, Adetoyese, friends and family from Gbongan. On the day of the occasion, he had the presence of over 200 DAB Ambassadors from the state to grace the occasion. If you must teach a child something, you must start with his tradition.

To further deepen DAB leadership training, Dr. Bayonle invited a global youth leader, Amb. Psalm Ebube to hold a leadership training with over a hundred (100) team heads and staff of the Foundation. The leadership coaching took place at the Olumirin Waterfall to create a relaxing atmosphere for the participants.
