Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has announced his administration’s unique approach to development, focusing on both physical and “stomach” infrastructure to benefit the people of the state.

Emphasizing his commitment to this approach, Adeleke stated, “I am Mr. Infrastructure, building both physical roads and ‘roads’ in our bodies. We are ensuring a proper mix of both to secure today and the future of our state.”

As part of this strategy, the state government has commenced the distribution of rice for the celebration of both Easter and Eid-l-Fitr, reaching out to various population groups in the state. The distribution, which started recently, aims to cover all major population groups, including the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the Muslim community, traditional religion practitioners, media groups, civil society groups, youth bodies, and student organizations.

Adeleke highlighted the government’s commitment to providing palliatives and support to alleviate the suffering of the people during these challenging times. He assured the public of more interventions to tackle hunger, deprivation, high inflation, and the economic challenges facing the state.

He also mentioned ongoing collaborations between the state and federal governments to share more palliatives and provide support to the people. Additionally, he promised further distributions of rice and other palliatives after the yuletide period.
