The Enugu State Police are appealing for support from individuals, groups, and organizations for the family of Corporal Kingsley Nnamani, whose wife recently gave birth to a set of triplets. Helen Nnamani, the corporal’s wife, delivered three baby boys on March 21 at the Nsukka Urban Division of the Nigeria Police Force.

This joyful event has increased the Nnamani family’s children to four, adding to their two-year-old daughter. The Enugu State Commissioner of Police, Kanayo Uzuegbu, highlighted the significance of this event, noting that it is the second occurrence of triplets being born to police officers in the state. Previously, a police sergeant’s wife also delivered a set of triplets at the police clinic in Enugu in May 2023.

“This leaves no doubt that police officers, men and women in Enugu State are fertile,’’ said the police spokesman in Enugu State, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, quoting Mr. Uzuegbu. The police commissioner expressed his belief that the birth of the triplets signifies a positive omen for the police force and Enugu State as a whole.

He appealed to the public for support, recognizing the financial and emotional responsibilities that come with caring for a larger family. The Enugu State Police are seeking assistance in various forms, including financial donations, baby supplies, and other forms of support to help the Nnamani family care for their newborns.
