Ombugadu Grateful for Support, Calls for Unity Following Supreme Court Verdict

Nasarawa State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), David Ombugadu, has extended his gratitude to his supporters and the people of Nasarawa State following the Supreme Court’s reaffirmation of Governor Abdullahi Sule’s victory in the March 18, 2023 governorship election.

In a statement released on Friday night, Ombugadu expressed his heartfelt appreciation to his supporters and the people of Nasarawa State for their unwavering support during the election and throughout the legal process that culminated in the Supreme Court’s verdict.

“While the outcome may not have been what we had hoped for, the strength and dedication displayed by our supporters and countless others during this period have not gone unnoticed,” Ombugadu stated in his statement. “Your commitment to the principles of democracy, justice, and the ideals we hold dear has been truly inspiring.”

He went on to acknowledge the court’s verdict and expressed his gratitude for the trust and belief placed in him by his supporters. Ombugadu emphasized the need to uphold the spirit of unity and resilience in Nasarawa State, despite the challenges faced.

“As we navigate the path forward, let us continue to uphold the spirit of unity and resilience that defines our state and country in general,” he urged. “Together, we can contribute to the progress and development of Nasarawa State, irrespective of the challenges we may face.”

The statement concluded with Ombugadu thanking his supporters once again for their unwavering support and expressing his optimism for a collaborative effort towards a brighter future for Nasarawa State.
