President Tinubu Set to Outline Vision for Nigeria in New Year’s Day Broadcast

President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to deliver a New Year’s Day address to the nation on Monday, January 1, 2024, at 7 am. The announcement was made in a statement released on Sunday by Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity. In his upcoming broadcast, Tinubu will speak on various issues facing the nation and is expected to outline his administration’s plans for the year ahead.

This will be President Tinubu’s fourth address to the nation since assuming office. His first address was on Democracy Day, June 12, followed by another on July 31, where he announced the government’s interventions following the removal of petrol subsidy. President Tinubu also delivered a nationwide broadcast on October 1, 2023, to commemorate Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Day.

In preparation for the broadcast, television, radio stations, and other electronic media outlets have been urged to tune in to the network services of the Nigeria Television Authority and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria to broadcast the address live.

President Tinubu’s New Year’s Day broadcast comes at a crucial time for Nigeria, with various challenges facing the nation, including security concerns, economic issues, and political developments. As the country looks ahead to the new year, many will be eager to hear the President’s plans and vision for addressing these challenges and steering the nation towards progress and prosperity.
