President Tinubu Pledges Business-Friendly Environment and Bilateral Relations with Foreign Investors

President Bola Tinubu has extended assurances to foreign investors, promising them a business environment marked by efficient and predictable fund repatriation, along with a simplified tax system. The commitment to fostering beneficial trade relations was emphasized as he received Letters of Credence from the Ambassador of Hungary, Lorand Endreffy; High Commissioner of Rwanda, Christophe Bazivamo, and Ambassador of Ukraine, Ivan Kholostenko, at the State House.

During the reception of the High Commissioner of Rwanda, President Tinubu addressed longstanding concerns regarding trapped funds, assuring a prompt and expedited process for their release. Stressing the importance of unity within the continent, he stated, “We are one family on the continent. We will continue to promote democracy and good governance. Nigeria is home and a haven for investors.”

In response to concerns over double taxation, Tinubu assured that the issues were already being actively addressed and would be streamlined to support business growth. Maintaining an open-door policy, he highlighted the availability of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Chief of Staff to address concerns.

The Rwandan High Commissioner expressed the government’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Nigeria, introducing new visa policies and exploring trade agreements. President Tinubu acknowledged this commitment and reiterated Nigeria’s dedication to fostering economic growth, suggesting potential collaboration in agriculture and food security.

Turning to the Hungarian Ambassador, Tinubu urged the exploration of partnership opportunities, particularly in agriculture, food security, and technology. Expressing gratitude for Hungary’s care of Nigerian students, Tinubu highlighted the vast potential for sustainable economic growth in Nigeria.

The Ukrainian Ambassador received assurances from President Tinubu that Nigeria would continue to advocate for global peace and harmony. Offering prayers and support for good governance and democracy, Tinubu reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to contributing positively on the global stage.
