Oyo State Government Approves N332million For Renovation Of Governor’s Lodge In Lagos

The Oyo State Government has announced its approval of funds exceeding N332 million for the renovation of the governor’s lodge located in Lagos State. This decision, along with others, was made during the State Executive Council meeting held on Wednesday, as stated in a brief public announcement.

Furthermore, the remodeling and renovation of the Governor’s Lodge, Guest Chalets, Boys Quarters, and Liaison Office at Ikeja, Lagos, have been contracted to Feyton Lanreolu Associates Limited for N332,134,999.05, scheduled for completion within three months.

Among the approved projects are the regularization of employment for 129 workers at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to ensure they receive full civil servant benefits. Additionally, the clearing of the North-East segment of the 110 km Rashidi Ladoja Circular Road, spanning from Badeku area along Ibadan/Ife expressway to Molarere on Moniya-Iseyin Road, has been awarded to M/S Picoraod Company Ltd for a total sum of N3.5 billion, with a completion period of six months.

Additionally, the asphaltic improvement of the dualized Mapo-Oritamerin Road, covering 0.5 km, has been added as supplementary works to the existing project of asphaltic improvement of the dualized Bus top Gate-Molete Bridge. Ratcon Construction Company Limited has been awarded this project for N373,809,539.41.

Moreover, a sum of N691,307,039.86 will be invested in Wema Bank’s rights issuance program, as part of the state’s efforts to secure its future. Additionally, approval has been granted for a N10 billion facility to provide counterpart funding for World Bank Assisted programs such as BESDA, Oyo-CARES (NG-CARES), and NEWMAP.
