Kebbi State Government Plans 24-Hour Power Supply for Ramadan

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has announced plans to ensure 24-hour power supply to the state during the upcoming Holy Month of Ramadan. The governor made this known while speaking to journalists after inspecting ongoing projects in Birnin Kebbi.

Governor Idris expressed dissatisfaction with the current electricity challenges in the state and revealed that he had invited the Managing Director of the Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (KAEDCO) for discussions on improving power supply. He emphasized his desire to see improved electricity supply, especially during Ramadan.

The governor stated, “My ambition is to ensure 24 hours of electricity supply, especially in the Holy Month of Ramadan. In view of this, I am ready to support the company in any way to achieve this objective In-Sha-Allah.”

Governor Idris also expressed his commitment to sustaining the improved power supply beyond the Ramadan period. He commended the contractors handling ongoing projects in the state and promised to initiate and execute more quality projects that would directly benefit the people.

The governor reiterated his dedication to fulfilling all his campaign promises, including transforming the state, sustaining peace, and protecting the lives and property of the people. He emphasized his administration’s focus on improving infrastructure and delivering essential services to the people of Kebbi State.
