Eminent Figures to Analyze President Tinubu’s Economic Reforms at 2024 Daily Trust Dialogue

The upcoming 21st Annual Daily Trust Dialogue, scheduled for Thursday in Abuja, is set to feature a lineup of distinguished speakers and guests. Among them is Wale Edun, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, who will be joining other eminent personalities to analyze the various economic reforms implemented by President Bola Tinubu’s administration. Themed “Tinubu’s Economic Reforms: Gainers and Losers,” the dialogue will also include insights from Comrade Joseph Ajaero, President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), and Victoria Akai, the immediate past Director General of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI).

In addition to the three guest speakers, the event will be attended by a diverse array of economists, industrialists, businessmen and women, as well as other notable figures. These include Professor Muttaka Usman from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Tope Fasua, Special Adviser to the President on Economic Matters in the Office of the Vice President, Muhammad Abubakar, CEO of L&Z Integrated Dairy Farms Limited, and Taimur Samad, Operations Manager at the World Bank Country Office in Nigeria.

The event is expected to be graced by special guests such as Mohammed Bago, a banker, politician, and member of the 9th House of Representatives, who currently serves as the governor of Niger State. Other dignitaries expected to attend include governors from various states, ministers, and diplomats, among others. This year’s dialogue will also coincide with the presentation of the 2023 Daily Trust African of the Year award, which was won by South African humanist Imtiaz Sooliman. The event will be broadcast live on Trust Television, Trust Radio, and various online platforms.

The annual Daily Trust Dialogue is part of Media Trust Group’s efforts to foster discussions aimed at promoting national and African integration, as well as socio-political growth and economic development. Since its inception in 2002, the event has attracted prominent figures from Nigeria and across Africa, making it a significant platform for dialogue and exchange of ideas.
