Representative Abdulmumin Jibrin, the esteemed member representing Kiru and Bebeji Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has clarified recent speculations regarding the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) and its potential political alliances.

Dismissing reports circulating in various media outlets, Jibrin took to his X account to affirm that the NNPP is open to forging an alliance with the All Progressives Congress (APC) and not, as falsely claimed, in merger discussions with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a statement shared on Friday, Jibrin debunked the alleged talks with the PDP, asserting that the party has consistently maintained a neutral stance, emphasising its readiness for collaboration, alliance, or merger with any political entity, including the APC, PDP, LP, or any other party.

According to him, no ongoing discussions or meetings have taken place with the PDP, terming the reports as “blatant lies” propagated by mischief-makers.

Moreover, in a separate statement from Jibrin’s media aide, Sani Paki, special prayers were offered in Kano for President Bola Tinubu and NNPP National Leader, Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso.

The prayer session, attended by clerics, involved the recitation of the Holy Qur’an 1,101 times, seeking peace, progress, and political stability in the country.

During the event, Jibrin’s close relationship with Tinubu was acknowledged, further reinforcing the political dynamics at play.

Post the prayer session, Representative Kofa, as Jibrin is often known, extended his community engagement by hosting 5,000 primary school children in his constituency.

True to his commitment, school kits were provided to the children, accompanied by assurances of the federal and state governments’ positive initiatives, particularly in the realms of free education and school feeding programs.
