In a remarkable display of determination and resilience, Subair Enitan, a 200-level student at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Osun state, achieved an extraordinary feat by completing a 58-hour hand wash-a-thon.

Her motivation behind this endurance challenge was to establish a record for the longest hand cloth washing by an individual, a feat she applied for with the Guinness World Record last June.

Commencing her extraordinary task on a Friday afternoon at the Student Union Building Motor park within the university campus, Enitan garnered immense support from thousands of fellow students who rallied around her.

The Student Union Building Motor park became a hub of solidarity, with various student artists and university officials joining the event to offer their encouragement.

The 200-level student successfully concluded the 58-hour hand wash-a-thon around midnight on Monday, marking a monumental achievement.

Following her triumph, Enitan was transported to the institution’s clinic in the school ambulance for a thorough medical check-up.

Expressing her fulfillment after completing the challenging task, Enitan highlighted the joy of achieving her goal in the presence of her mother, Omogbolabo Afolake, who steadfastly stood by her side throughout the over two-day-long event.

She conveyed her appreciation for the overwhelming support from friends and colleagues who gathered at the venue to witness her ambitious undertaking.

Enitan’s dedication to breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest hand cloth washing stands as a testament to the indomitable spirit of students pursuing extraordinary feats.

The event not only showcased Enitan’s personal achievement but also brought the university community together in a spirit of encouragement and celebration.
