Osun2022: 35-Year-Old Havard Medical Doctor, Dr. Ademola Officially Joins Race To Become The Next Governor | GOVERNMEND
The Harvard medical doctor who is also the Chairman of Dr. Ademola Bayonle Youth Foundation, officially declares intention to run for governorship while picking his nomination form with the Young Pregressive Party – YPP, at the Party Secretary in Abuja today, Friday, February 4th 2022.
The popular young philanthropist has always maintained that, to completely address the poverty in the country, the youths at different level must play active role in leadership through their involvement in partisan politics. His declaration of intent to run for governorship has yet again proven that he is a man of his words.
Following his official declaration in Abuja, he took to his official Facebook page @dab4youth to post pictures of himself and the party executives as he is seen discussing some of his agenda with press men in Abuja. He accompanied pictures posted with the caption:
“I just picked the Young Progressive Party (YPP) Nomination Form, indicating my interest to run for governorship in the Osun2022 gubernatorial election, today, at the YPP Secretariat in Abuja.”
“I am grateful to God Almighty who has remained faithful since the beginning of this journey. I appreciate all party faithfuls starting from my Ward in my community, Gbongan in Ayedaade Local Government up to the national level, for their immense support I always enjoy. In the same vein, the tremendous supports, commitments, sacrifices and loyalty from my family members, friends both home and abroad, my team members, relevant stakeholders, DAB Youth ambassadors and our progressive thinking elders mean alot to me, my aspirations and the clamour for a genuine change in the leadership of our dear state, Osun.”
“We’ve taken that bold step, one that shows our preparedness for the tasks ahead. Victory is certain, if we indeed understand how pertinent it is to change the narrative.”

Osun2022 seems to be unusual as new and young entrants in politics are inspiring the youths to rescue the state from what seemed like imposition by a tiny clique. Although Dr. Bayonle is the only candidate below 40 who has pick a nomination form, there are obviously more youths who would join him in the race, soon.
Also, the fued between Aregbesola, the current Minister of Interior and his successor Gov. Gboyega Oyetola looks like what is never ending as some arsonists allegedly sent by Gov. Gboyega Oyetola attacked and vandalized Oranmiyan House, Aregbesola’s office in the capital city, Osogbo.
