More Than 27,000 Persons Displaced In A Local Government Area In Kaduna- FG | GOVERNMEND

The Federal Commissioner in charge of the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, Senator Bashir Mohammed, noted that, at least 27,121 persons, with the majority being women and children have been displaced by bandits in the Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

He Stated this, during the inauguration of the symbolic distribution of relief materials to internally displaced person in the area. Items (food and non- food items) were distributed to 300 households out of 1, 194 affected.

Here are his exact words, “Data collected this year by the Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency and NCFRMI Kaduna field office indicate that 1,194 households comprising 27,121 individuals – more than half of whom are women and children are displaced in Birnin Gwari LGA alone.”

Mohammed, who met with the state deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Balarebe at the Sir. Kashim Ibrahim Government house did not failed to commiserate with the state, over the various banditry and communal clashes in the State.
