Former House of Representatives member, Usman Bugaje, criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration, stating that it has not solved any problems in Nigeria but has exacerbated existing issues. Bugaje expressed his concerns during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, describing Tinubu’s government as lacking direction and failing to provide solutions to the country’s challenges.

Bugaje highlighted the absence of clear metrics to evaluate governance, emphasizing the need for scientific assessment of governmental achievements. He suggested that Nigeria should have developed specific criteria for evaluating governance, similar to statistical measurements used in academia. Bugaje criticized the administration for its failure to address key issues such as security, citing recent incidents of violence and insecurity across various regions of the country.

He called for a more proactive approach, urging leaders to seek assistance from experienced individuals regardless of political affiliation. Bugaje emphasized the importance of drawing on the expertise and resources available within the country to tackle the nation’s problems effectively.

Bugaje’s remarks underscored the widespread dissatisfaction with the performance of Tinubu’s government and the urgent need for tangible solutions to address Nigeria’s pressing challenges.
