Shettima Says Nigerians Must Endure Despite Widespread Hunger
Vice President Kashim Shettima has called on Nigerians to endure, citing the challenges faced by other nations and praising President Bola Tinubu’s leadership. Speaking at a Ramadan fast-breaking event at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Vice President Shettima highlighted the need for perseverance, noting that despite current challenges, Nigeria is on the right path under President Tinubu’s leadership.
The event, organised by President Tinubu’s office, was attended by members of the Federal Executive Council, Service Chiefs, and Heads of government agencies. Vice President Shettima lauded President Tinubu as a decisive leader who has played a crucial role in guiding Nigeria towards prosperity and stability.
According to Vice President Shettima, the unifying power of Ramadan transcends any divides among Nigerians. He praised President Tinubu’s leadership qualities and sacrifices, emphasising that leadership requires sacrifice, tenacity of purpose, and commitment.
Vice President Shettima called on all ministers, service chiefs, and heads of government agencies to support President Tinubu’s endeavours, stating that the president has the nation’s best interests at heart. He expressed confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership, stating that in the fullness of time, posterity will be kind to him.
Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, thanked President Tinubu for the Ramadan gesture, expressing gratitude for his generosity and praying for the successful completion of Ramadan.
