PDP Hails Supreme Court’s Verdict, Applauds Governor Umo Eno’s Leadership in Akwa Ibom

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has extended congratulations to Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State following the Supreme Court’s confirmation of his victory in the gubernatorial election held on March 18, 2023.

In a statement issued by the PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the party described the Supreme Court’s decision as a triumph for democracy and a reflection of the people’s will in Akwa Ibom State to uphold good governance. The statement highlighted the widespread jubilation in the state as evidence of the alignment between the court’s verdict and the electorate’s choice.

Governor Umo Eno was praised for his leadership qualities, described as humble, compassionate, and visionary, with a wealth of experience in both the private and public sectors. The PDP emphasized the governor’s commitment to the people of Akwa Ibom State, evident in their overwhelming support for him during the elections.

The party expressed pride in Governor Umo Eno’s leadership, particularly noting his swift action upon assuming office with the launch of the ARISE Agenda. This initiative was credited with achieving significant milestones in various sectors, including agriculture, education, healthcare, security, housing, infrastructure, manufacturing, commerce, and aviation.

The PDP congratulated the people of Akwa Ibom State on the court’s decision and urged Governor Umo Eno to remain dedicated to advancing the developmental strides initiated by his predecessor, His Excellency Udom Emmanuel. The party encouraged the governor to continue prioritizing people-oriented programs and projects in alignment with the PDP’s policy objectives and manifesto.
