Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke, known for his energetic dance moves and affectionately dubbed the “dancing governor,” has expressed his aspirations to potentially run for the presidency in the future.

In an interview with Arise News, Adeleke confidently stated, “I am qualified to be the president of Nigeria, so why not?” However, he humbly acknowledged that his political journey is ultimately guided by divine providence. “If God says it’s time for me to become president, I will accept the call and serve my people. I won’t reject it; anything is possible,” he affirmed.

While eyeing a potential future at the national level, Adeleke emphasized his current dedication to improving Osun State. “I am fully committed to working around the clock to ensure Osun achieves greatness,” he asserted. He acknowledged the challenge of inheriting a significant debt but assured ongoing efforts to address it, including the gradual payment of half salaries to public servants and pensioners.

Adeleke also outlined his initiatives aimed at tackling the state’s challenges, highlighting the establishment of numerous committees to address various issues. “I have implemented initiatives such as free medical care to alleviate the burden on our people. This is part of our efforts to provide relief, including in the healthcare sector,” he explained.
