Governor Radda of Katsina State Approves Wage Increase for Civil Servants and Pensioners
Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has given the green light for a N10,000 wage increase for all civil servants in the state, along with a N5,000 increment for pensioners. This move aims to mitigate the impact of the recent fuel subsidy removal.
The announcement was made by the state’s Head of Service, Alhaji Usman Isyaku, and confirmed by Governor Radda’s media aide, Ibrahim Kaula-Mohammed, on Thursday in Katsina.
“This proactive step is in line with the governor’s commitment to gradually introduce measures to alleviate the effects of the subsidy removal,” stated Mr. Kaula-Mohammed.
The payments are scheduled to be disbursed in January 2024, offering relief to both civil servants and pensioners in the state.
