#TwitterBan: Buhari’s Cabinet Is Made Of Lies – Seyi Oyetunbi | GOVERNMEND

The current situation of the country only shows one thing clearly, and that’s bad leadership. Everything happening doesn’t look like there’s any responsible leader at the helm of affairs as things have gone from bad to worse. Sadly, every channel through which opinion can be gathered and shared is attacked by the government of Nigeria and those at the other levels of government.

Many notable social commentators and health workers have argued that President Muhammadu Buhari is suffering from amnesia due to old age and likely effects of military drills and combat. Amnesia is a mental crisis that causes forgetfulness due to many factors like age, attack, accident or even illicit use of drugs. As a result of this, he’s been described as a mannequin president, some even believe he’s dead while some just feel he’s outrightly incapacitated due to the direction of doom he’s made for Nigeria.

However, even a blind man understands that Buhari is not in charge. And he’s so unlucky to have toxic cabinet members and aides relieve him off his germane responsibilities as the manager of the country. He’s often wrongly advised, sidelined from happenings in the country and left completely in the dark on crucial national and international issues.

Drawing from Buhari’s administration in 1983, one would understand that Buhari is somewhat sadistic but apparently not as bad as this time that he has more toxic people like Lai Muhammad, Garba Shehu, Femi Adeshina and others who are leading President Buhari on the path to pathetic history of despotic leaders.

At this crucial time when alot of crisis are happening, the only solution the callous Buhari led administration has found as a solution is to ban twitter for deleting its war-mongering tweet that threatened to repeat the approach of the civil war of 1967 – 1970 that killed not less than 3million Igbo.

In the middle of Igangan genocide, killings in the North and Middle belt, President Muhammadu Buhari hasn’t done anything efficacious to curb menaces. The Ban on twitter is nothing short of an affront, now the whole world understands better that Nigeria is not a democracy. It’s a fundamental right that must be protected by all necessary state and non state actors, freedom of expression through any means is sacrosanct and we cannot afford to trade it; not even at the point of death.

President Muhammadu Buhari doesn’t look like he knows what happens on the micro-blogging app, Twitter to have seen the need for the ban. He has been clueless since the beginning of his government and I see that some of his cabinet members and aides would not rest until his government is swept by a revolution.

Government has a responsibility of providing for the people what they cannot provide for themselves. The current security situation is worrisome, it’s safe to say we don’t have a government judging by how many lives we lose on a daily basis in Nigeria. Inspite of the insecurity and many other challenges, what the Buhari government considered worth doing is the ban on Twitter App.
