The Osun YPP Chairman has been suspended for what the disciplinary committee described as sheer misconduct.

The report of the disciplinary committee set up by the state executives of the Osun State Young Progressives Party (YPP) to investigate the legal action instigated by the suspended chairman Com. Remi Ayanlade and the suspended secretary Com. Bimbo Fasasi.

One of the party chieftain who preferred anonymity mentioned that the committee that made up the panel is comprise of Mr. Olalekan Enoch- chairman, Mr. Olarenwaju Muideen – secretary, Mr. Ojo Phillip- member, Mrs. Rachael Adekunle – member

The suspended chairman Com. Ayanlade and Secretary Com. Bimbo Fasasi was summoned by the committee on the 1st of September, 2022 to the party secretariat, the meeting which lasted for over four hours revealed that all allegations against them were valid. The committee then resolved that the suspended state chairman should present the signed copy of the law suit to the committee. Unfortunately, all measures put in place to receive the filled copy of the law suit from the suspended chairman proved abortive. This dastard action also validates many atrocities discovered in the course of the investigation which included but not limited to mismanagement of Party funds and properties.

“The committee’s resolution is that the suspended Chairman and the Secretary are guilty of the allegations levied against them which are stated in line with the party’s constitution(Article 36.7) which connotes;

i. Commit breach of party constitution

ii. Say and does things that brought party into disrepute, hatred and contempt.

iii. Disobey and neglect to carry out lawful directive of the party.

iv. Engages in dishonest practices.

v. Engages in anti- party.

vi. Engages in conduct likely to cause disaffection for party members

vii. Promote factions.

“…In lieu of the charges above, the committee has hereby recommended the following sanctions (YPP constitution, article 36.8) to the state executives to aid the resolutions and decisions;
i. Fine
ii. Suspension with fine
iii. Disbarment from holding party office.
iv. Removal from office.”

“Conclusively, the committee uses this medium to appreciate the state working team for the privilege to fucntion in this capacity.”
