Nigerians React As Ex-President, Jonathan Joins The Presidential Race | GOVERNMEND

There was a mixed reaction from Nigerians and a deafening silence from the supporters of Goodluck Ebene Jonathan, the former president, Federal Republic of Nigeria after the news of his interest in the presidential race broke out.

Some Nigerians who are of the Fulani ethnic group claimed to purchase the expression of interest form for the former president, while a receipt of the payment of 30million for the form surfaces online.

While some consider this to be a welcome development and a necessary rivalry for candidates like Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and Rotimi Ameachi to up their games; others berate the former president for being inconsistent, complicit and insincere with his propagation of a better Nigeria.

Well, for critics of Goodluck Jonathan, it’s nothing serious and surprisingly. Sowore Omoyele, a popular critic of the former president wrote on his social media page “Goodluck Jonathan finally joins All Progressives Congress (APC), returns to his vomit!” It looks like many had known about the decision of Goodluck Jonathan before it became open.
